Thanks for all the updates Alan and Clyde. I'm learning a lot as I read through them.

I am still waiting for my adapter cable............
Hopefully my cable will arrive by the time I get home this Friday night so I can play with the recode software this weekend.

I'm currently here in Orange County, Ca.
Forecast is rain all week but its nice and sunny today and yesterday.
What a nice change from Seattle weather.

I better pay attention to my meeting : )

(reading the thread of course and then making my car immobile I afraid)

Hello,
Here in Europe, the alarm option on my M6 can't active the PLIP sound option when closing or opening door. Do you think it could be possible to add this feature in our program ???

Thanks

Mark, after you cable gets over its jet lag, keep in mind there will likely be modules it cannot read due to your 2010 MY. When ready, you'll likely need to upgrade two file contents. Once you get the cable to see that car (INPA, the two black circles), post back and I'll guide you to the newer files

When the car have the alarm option, you have in US, the possibility to active one/two bip sound when closing/opening doors... Here in europe we haven't this feature active

Oh I see. Let me research that. There is an option in the ABG Module I think, to control the audible sounds upon door opening and closure. Its also a user interface (iDrive option) in our cars as well. Before you start messing with codes, don't you have that option in your iDrive settings? Audible and lighting options for lock, unlock? Cant show you a screenshot at the moment, but its in the homescreen, settings, vehicle option area I believe. Its called 'confirmation', then shows options upon lock and unlock
