M6 got really slow really fast! Red Cog = awesome!

Well its my turn for the red cog of *****!
*
Pulled into my driveway yesterday and got the “Red Cog”.
Turned the car off, turned it on all was good. Took it for a run
around the block, no slipping clutch or bangs. Pulled back to the driveway and then a big
Lurch, the red cog shows up, engine malfunction shows up and the car stalls.
I wait a few restart and I get an immediate red cog and engine message and it stalls.
After that couldn’t even start it as it was stuck in firs gear. So the “you can continue to drive” message isn’t all that true! J
So I had it towed over to BMW.
When they where putting the car on the truck a slew of hydraulic fluid ran out from under the car
On to the ground. So that could be an issue.
The good thing is I already had an appointment this week for the replacement of my front seats.
So timing is everything haha
*
They looked at it yesterday and it looks like the pump is shot as well as some solenoid, I will know more later today.
So the moral of the story, car ran great….then boom not running at all. No warning!!!
*
I will update info when I get it.
*
They gave me a 2010 328i xdrive. Wow do I miss my M6! Feel like I could get sea sick in it, sooooo much body role. Don’t et me wrong, im glad they had something for me in a pinch….but I miss the 6.

Well i went in and looked at my car.

It looks like it was a fitting on one of the lines from the hydraulic fluid reservoir.
It had a small leak in it, so the pump would continuously try to pressurize the line.
The fitting finally let go and the pump just pumped all the fluid out.

I did get the odd battery warning, they believe this may be the cause as the pump was always trying to pressurize the system.
So they ordered a bunch of parts, the lines, reservoir and pump for good measure.
I was told earlier in the day that the parts would be in early next week. But it looks like they found them and had them fedexed over
So when i showed up they where actually working on the replacement of the parts.
So they will replace the parts and see if there are any other issues. So looks like i might have gotten away lucky.
As well today they will be replacing the leathers on my seats.

Well just talked to my SA.
They replaced the parts put the car back together, and started it up.
Same issues, still leaking. Same errors.
So they have opened a puma case. And they will be dropping the tranny tomorrow.
Now it's getting interesting

I'm going to stop by tomorrow and grab some pics.

Nice... Did your paperwork show how much the Canadian dealer would have charged outside of warranty?
