The last E63/E64 - own a piece of history

While exchanging emails with my contact at BMW M tonight, I proposed the wacky idea that some customer (sadly not me) arrange to have the very last V10 BMW be an M6 (rather than a 650, etc.) and that it be a very special Individual as well. So the last M6 off the production line in August would not just have the last serial number for an E63/E64 but be the ultimate M6 in this series.

My "proposal" was:

If cost was no object and I had the money to do it, I'd have you folks
build the last E63 as an M6 with the 5.5 liter engine like the one in
the 25th Anniversary M5 CSL and with the Double Clutch Transmission.
Perhaps Brilliant White paint but with the "M" stripes like the CSL M5
had. Interior in black and Mugello red (something like Khalid's M5) with
lots of carbon fiber trim inside. Overall the car would be based on the
M6 Competition Edition (or the M5 CSL)

My contact (the BMW M/Individual sales manager for the Americas) replied:

What a wonderful idea. We should indeed celebrate the very last M6 with a nice customer specification.
Unfortunately, we don't have any request so far and we are not allowed to talk to customers directly, unless the subsidiary is allowing us to do so....
However, if you spread the news and customers like you are contacting us directly, we can support requests and ease the process (usually). :-)

I think the M6 limited Competition Edition (shown on Frankfurt Motorshow; Comp. Package not available in US but the rest of the spec) is a gorgeous car and absolutely worth the badge "special". But many markets do not promote it, though, because it's a niche offer, so we talk to retailers to generate interest - which works out most of the time.

This edition (limited to 100) is ready to go, so just perfect for the run out of the V10.

So if you have deep pockets and want what is IMO sure to be a collectible car, order up the last M6 with a V-10 and see how unique they can make it for you! If anyone is seriously interested, I will be happy to put whoever in touch with the right people in Germany. You will have work with your local dealer and national distributor as well.

Wow, what an amazing offer. I wish I had the cash to put down on something like this...I am always a day late on things like this. If it was only a year later Just bought a new house, another car, economy and business slower than normal, etc etc. Boo hoo

Yeah, sucks to be us! Well not really. But the last E63 (I know probably an E64 for you) would have been memorable.

I doubt they would be able to sell the Competition Edition (lowered suspension) in the U.S. but it might hurt to ask.
