Headers = ecu?

When we get headers for our beasts we NEED an ecu update/aftermarket software so the check engine light wont go on right?

I am asking because i have dinan stg3 software but obviously that software does not integrate headers...

Can we get headers without touching the ECU and have no error codes?

For the EvoSport headers, they will replace the factory precats and require an ECU tune to prevent the error code.

All aftermarket headers delete the stock main catalytic converter, which will trigger the CEL.

you will not need a reflash with the new agency power headers that are coming out shortly!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

Evosport or AA has a tune for headers for about $1700. I'm on my phone so I don't have all my info from my computer.

I have evosport headers and dinan stage I, I just run with the CEL on for emissions the whole time. Car still makes phenomenal power, just makes inspection a little trickier.

Ya i dont want my CEL light to be on, its already annoying enough to see the "daytime running light warning" because i have aftermarket angel eyes.. seeing the CEL light on would make it even worse..

I guess ill just wait for the agency power ones any pricing on the agency power headers?

I was wondering, if I run evosport headers, section 1, 2 and 3 (NO Cats or resonator), with my stock ecu..will it be harmful in any way to the engine??

I plan on getting my ecu tune in the near future, but im installing all of the above next week, so I'd just like to make sure since I will be on stock ecu for a few weeks..

you should be fine. It will just trigger a CEL (check engine light) since there's no cats and ecu flash/tune
