Right hand drive

Does anyone know if I can order a Right hand drive car, or is there issues with the car and passing US emissions.

Please fill me in.

I don't think you can order an right hand drive from a U.S. dealer. You might be able to buy one via a British (Caribbean, South African, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, etc.) dealer but you would have to import it and it would not be a U.S. spec car. From what I've read, its expensive and time consuming to convert a car to U.S. specs. During which time you have to probably post a customs bond equal to the value of the car (and of course you can't drive it on the streets).

Good luck though. Living in California, why do you want a RHD car?

i want a RHD E39 myself

to the op:
-i think you can import one without the intention to convert it to us spec and drive it on a dealer plate

i've seen 2 euro cars for sale in the US both could be registered via DMV for tags etc (there might be an issue for RHD cars)

you should talk to this member he's currently selling a euro spec car:
EURO M5 For Sale in CA!! E39 Royal Red/Black

edit:

here's a new york registered b12
Picture: USA registred BMW Alpina B12 6,0 RHD

like mark said it's probably a pain in the ***, but well worth it in my opinion

*whats the deal with warranty - i assume it still effective except for the extended CPO since in places like the UK additional insurance is sold by the year not as a package
