Finally took video of my X5 M...

I took a few clips of my X5 M with my buddy this weekend, here are some of the videos and pics. Like I've said before, the exhaust note isn't too great but otherwise the truck is FAST as hell. Let me know what you think...

nice pics and glad to hear you are happy with the purchase.

the looks are growing on me, and i'm sure it's a monster!

have to agree with you though, based on the video the exhaust note must be the low point. i really don't know what to make of it. is it just me or does it sound like it's almost beyond "fixing" with an aftermarket exhaust?...

how does it fare against the m3?

the engine noise/turbos take over the exhaust note.. im sure it sounds pretty beefy once an aftermarket exhaust is put on..

i had the 05 4.8is which was basically the M x5 but bmw didnt want to give it that name because of how the "m" was always known as a sporty small car that was RWD.

i suggest removing the resonator, go to any local muffler shop and ask them to lift the car and remove the resonator, it will make the exhaust louder/beefier, shouldnt cost more then 200$ to do it. They will know what ur talking about.

I also had the 'original' X5M (4.8is) Exhaust note was so meaty & could play with M3's on the road. Got an M6 now; friends say it's not as loud as the X5 was & have to agree. The 'new' X5M looks good though & will certainly surprise other road users. One of the main things I miss from the 4.8 is the tank size! Enjoy

Thanks for sharing the nice pics and video!

If its an SUV you want you cant get a better car then that!

I would fit an aftermarket exhaust to get the right sound to complement the performance! Not sure if there are any out yet though?
