HD radio stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys. How do I turn off my HD radio? It keeps toggleing back and forth between regular and HD. The HD broadcasts ten seconds behind. When the HD toggles on the song starts playing music from the song that I already heard. It would be nice if I could turn off the HD feature. The way it is now I cant listen to FM radio. The volume is also louder on HD so when it changes to regular the music gets quiet then when HD turns on the music blasts real loud. Its a constant battle with the volume knob. What a piece of crap!! Can anyone help???

HD radio is digital. So either you get it or you dont.
Which means if the signal is low, it will cut in and out.

Similar principle for Sirius Radio.

Analog signal will give you hiss and fade in and fade out.

So it all depends on how strong the radio signal is.

I live 25 miles north of Seattle and I have excellent HD and Sirius Radio reception.
I would say 95% very good reception.

Anyway, if you want it turned off, it is listed in your owners manual.
Simply go to your Radio Menu. Set HD Radio to OFF.

i have no problem with HD radio but Sirius is absolutely killing me. I am in NYC and anytime i drive down a street with trees, it cuts out. Any time i pass a higher building, it goes...really disturbing...

Yep, you are correct.

Sirius requires a direct line of sight to the car antenna.
Any underpass, tall trees, tall building and it will cut out. Sucks!

Hopefully they can make their signal stronger so it wont cut out as much when there is slight interference to their broadcast signal.
