There are some (non-crash) threads on the M5 side of the Board that have more posts and more views, but as of now, this thread is #1 on the M6 side of the house.
I'm not saying that bad things can't happen to my car, but my dealership takes very special care of my car and treats me decently. So I don't expect the sort of problems TJ has had with his M5 even if something unexpected did happen at BMW of Honolulu. I think they would come clean and try to make it as right as possible.
And I think that what inflames a lot of us the most about TJs crashed car is that the dealership has not stood up and said, "My bad, we screwed up. Let's figure out how to make this right."
In my case, my SA tells the mechanics and QA guys to drive my car as little as possible, or not at all. The even find places to park it where it is less likely to get dinged. Since I usually take it to them pretty clean, they mark it as "No Wash" most times. They really try to limit their opportunities to damage my ride. I'm not saying they are perfect, but I have a good relationship with them and I trust them to take good care of my beast. Good business relationship are all built around trust. If you don't have it with your dealership, go elsewhere.
Photos and videos from earlier today will get posted later tonight (when I get home). Sucks to have to work on the car's birthday. I should have driven around all day instead
