A lighter under-drive pulley allows the car to rev up and down faster, giving you a bit better acceleration. Price/performance wise, they're pretty worthwhile.

Unless you're having a problem of some sort, it's probably not worthwhile. The difference between different aftermarket pullies is too small to make the $$ worthwhile.

Do the headers with the ECU to get some serious power gains. The Kreisseig is amazing, but costs as much as a full header back setup.

Why don't you get the RPI GT exhaust system....it gives you dyno proven power gains and sounds sweet at the same time. I didn't like the sound of the evosport headers because it makes my v10 sounds like a throaty v8 muscle car. But that's me, it all depends on personal preference. I would recommend you to get either RPI or ASR's complete exhaust system. I think those 2 vendors have the best exhaust system for our beast!

I'd personally go with the RPI headers + ECU tune; makes sense to basically just remove the restrictive part of the exhaust...

With respect to the headers, pitch is mostly determined by the size of the primaries. Many aftermarket headers increase the size of the primaries, which lowers the pitch (as well as lowers the exhaust gas speed). Longer lengths also do tend to lower the pitch, though not as much as the diameter. Headers that are not equal length tend to change the actual characteristics of the sound, from the natural V10 sound to what some have described as more of an american V8 noise.

In terms of power...

M5 Header Dyno Comparison: Headers/exhaust

Check out the area under the torque curve. There are big torque differences between different designs, especially in the 2000 to 6000 RPM range.

Do you have a dyno chart of your RDsport header that shows no low end power loss?
