I would guess the M6 would kill the CLK63 AMG at speed.

I think the CLK is a bit quicker off the line, but the M6 has the advantage up top.

Yea, apparently it brakes and handles better. I'd say 0-60 is quicker, maybe quarter mile also. M6 is just quicker up top, which to some is more important! V10 yumm..

I am one of those that couldnīt care less about 0-60 times and quarter mile, my car needs to be supersonic fast 60+ mhp and the M5/M6 outruns many cars that has even more power...that V10, 8250 rpm and SMG III is LOVE

The clk 63 BS was my favorite car for a while. It really is the only amg i would consider buying. It's a real stripped down, dedicated drivers car. I feel like the new sl65 black does not live up to the black label standards that the clk established, and i was quite disappointed with the car.

I do not see the clk as a direct competitor to a m6, but more to a porsche gt3. I feel like the clk is almost in between the two: not as extremely focused as a gt3 or gt3rs, and not as comfortable and usable as the m6. It would be a tough decision between the clk and the m6 for me, but i would probably end up going with the m6. It's basically the same as the merc down low, and will win up top, it's more comfortable, it has great build quality, and an amazing warranty. This might sound dumb, but the clk was very cool, but it is a car that will pass, where the m6 will live on and be remembered for many years to come. You really could argue that it is the BEST car for the money.

I've run with a CLK BS and thoroughly spanked it from a dig and a roll. The roll wasn't that close. I had to make up almost a car length from a dig and did it easily by mid 2nd gear but I guess the dig races were not really spankings. My car is a vert (heavier) but has some performance mods. I beat stock M6 coupes, but barely so a stock M6 coupe should beat a CLK BS if you're not bouncing off the limiter and you stay in the sweet spot of the powerband.
