Any M6 owners getting a X5M?

I was just curious if anyone else was gonna get the X5M when it comes out next month. I'm ordering mine in white tomorrow. I'm replacing my Range Rover Sport Supercharged with it, should be pretty cool having a car and truck with virtually the same 0-60 time.

damn!... well i already have a bmw x5, the bad thing is that is a diesel not a 4.floor twin turbo with only 555hp! hahaha! but yeah i think that many people that has an M5, or M6 is going to buy the X5M but in my opinion, i am very dissapointed with the use of turbos on an M model! simply is not the way to go for M division!

i hope they dont use this same engine on the upcoming M5, M6 models!

I am adding the X6M to my stable in the Fall when they arrive. Will be keeping the M6 too though. Still loving my Cabrio

Hi Munir - the turbos are lighter, smaller also more efficient - us poor fanatics who live at over 4400ft above sea level only rarely enjoy the best of the beast on vacation!?. Please support us and BMW as the future M models with TT are, I reckon, due to environmental and other reasons, going to replace our current V10 - I agree very sad - but the end of an era??.

hey old speed lover! yeah i mean of course i recognize that turbos are better for the envioroment, they deliver more torque and more power without any sacrifice and that even turbo engines are often more likely to be tune up, but if im going to miss something about M5 or M6 is that beautiful roar made by our V10 beasts. but yeah in the end i will support everythin that bmw throws to us!

I have a question for you all actually which is somewhat related to the OP's topic:

With the launch of the X5-M and the X6-M, has our "flagship" title for M5s and M6s been stripped?

Will the owners of these 555hp beasts be pointing and laughing at us while they fly past us? Or will they be frustrated that their 555hp TTs are unable to catch up to our NA 507hp V10s?

Basically, what i'm saying is will they be able to hold with us on a straight line run? Because I like knowing that I've got the fastest BMW in production -- will this position now change with the 2 MPower SUVs?

0-60 (0-100km) is basically the same! but under some circunstances, i think a XM could be a bit faster because of that huge amount of torque at low rpm and Xdrive!

but after that, there is no way they can keep up! in a 1/4 mile i think we are talking about 2 to 3 cars easily!

I can see your point.

Thing is, our cars and these new ones weren't built for 0-60. They were built for rolling!

I'm just wondering if an X5 M or X6 M came up behind you on the highway at speed while you are cruising, if you were to downshift 2 gears and gun it, I wonder how long he would tailgate you for before you start pulling away.

Their Auto tranny is much more sophisticated and i'm sure much quicker than our SMGIII and all they need to do is floor it and because of their weight and 4x4 won't have much trouble with traction/grip like us.
