Here you go.
Since no one here was kind enough to take 30 seconds of his precious time to tell me where the M6 angel eye bulbs are located on my new M6 and how to access them - I just went ahead and figured it out myself.
And since I am a sharing kind of guy - here you go, for sharing.
First, note and disclaimers:
I am not posting here asking for your comments or whether you like my mods or not. Remember that to each is his own and as long as we are happy with our own cars, that is the only thing that matters.
So I am very happy with this upgrade.
If this is too hard to do for you or if the light is too dim or too bright for you - then this mod is not for you.
Again, I am posting for sharing info and not asking for your approval.
Now that we got that out of the way, here you go.
The first two photo shows location of Angel Eye bulbs on an M6.
3rd photo is stock angel eye bulbs.
4th photo is the Predator Ice housing that I used.
5th photo is the LED driver and LED bulbs that I used. These LED bulbs are super bright. 285 lumens.
However, the LED lens is 25 degree beam so the light output is not focused directly to the AE fiber optic cable, hence the light output is not as bright as Angel iBrights Ver 3. But I am good with the light output.
5th photo shows the LED soldered to the P ice housing.
6th photo shows how bright this new LED tri star bulb is.
7th photo is the new Predator Ice with 700ma LED Driver called Powerpuck with a Tri-Star 285 lumens white LED insalled. All done and installed.
Note: I want a plug and play connection so I used the stock AE bulb housing, cut it in half and used the bottom connector part.
8th photo is the same, just zoomed out a little bit.
9th photo shows what you get when you try and access the angel eye bulbs from the headlight housing. You get hand bumps as there is not enough room to stick your hand in between the metal parts as shown on blue circled spot photos 1 and two.
Summary: Not as bright as Angel iBrights (because angel eye brights uses a more focused LED lens beam) but I am happy with the results.
If someone wants to do this mod, on post 1 is where I ordered all of my parts, here is your DIY procedures - have fun with your mod, let me know if I can help.
Total cost of this mod is about $180.00.
Next mod for me is speaker replacement.
You all take are.
Happy modding.
