$143,000.00, Damn! I know it is a different color, but besides that is it "special" in any other way (besides exclusivity)?
The interior and exterior colors are unique to the Neiman Marcus M6, at least in the US.
The hood is also unique, but is now available on the competition package and the 650i sport (not sure about that).
The price included a trip for 2 to Germany (airfair and hotel), and a very special European delivery experience.
Guys, I have a friend that purchased a 2007 Neiman Marcus M6 new. His car has 7700 miles and is mint. He is looking to trade me for my 2006 M5 with 12,000 miles. I am not sure how much his car is worth. I see that the last 07 M6 Neiman Marcus did not sell on ebay.
I have not driven the car. It seems that there is no room on the back seat. I have an 11 year old that likes to ride my M5 (backseat) and enjoys the G- force as we pull away from the stop signs.
My friend needs a 4 door car and likes my Black Sapphire with Burgundy leather M5. It is really a nice car and it is perfect and still smells new.
About a year ago I posted that I was falling out of love with the Beast. However, after I found out how much it was worth, my love grew back. It was reality check!
Now I am planning on keeping my beast for a few more years and buy an extended warranty before December. I did all of the investigation already. However, the M6 sounds tempting, and I would not have to spend $4k for a warranty. Well, that is my story and I am sticking to it! LOL.
What trade difference should I be looking at? My car plus how much more? Other that the NM name is there a noticeable difference?
Your comments are appreciated. I am going to drive the car and see how it fits me and the family.

It's all in the details. The unique exterior and interior colors have not been available in the US, and now that the M6 is near the end of production is seems they never will be. The beautiful color will be noticed by everyone, but the rare details will most likely only be noticed by other M6 owners. I would certainly notice an Neiman Marcus M6, but have never seen one -- there are only 50.
I hope your friend was able to experience the special factory delivery, based on the pictures posted on this board it was a "priceless" experience. Maybe not priceless, since a part of the extra cost of the car was the for the special delivery.
No to rain on BMW and Neiman Marcus' parade, but you can order an Individual M6 with the same color (Ruby Black) and leather (although they have newer Individual leather colors by now) via the Individual program (even in the U.S.) The hood (which is standard on the 650 Sport this year) is only $365 more than a regular hood at the retail part counters but BMW Individual wants about $2300 extra for the hood if you order it on an Individual car. I pointed out this math exercise to them but got a shrug and they're stricking to their pricing guns on the hood.
And you get a $7145 European Delivery discount on an M6 currently so you can use that plus some extra and have a mighty fine trip in an M6 to the south of France for less than the Needless Markup price back in 2007.
Pick up your friends car for market price for an M6 plus no more than $5K for the Individual stuff. It had about $14K of Individual items when new. The rest was the trip and the "experience". Which you as the second owner won't be getting!
In effect you can get the same car if that's what you want and have just as good of a trip in a new M6. That was not possible back in 2007 but now it is...and probably for a lot less $$$
EDs are a blast. I looking forward to my 3rd one in Oct. (first one at the Welt).

When I traded in my 645Ci last year my son was 11 and he used to ride in the back all the time. We would have him ride behind the front passenger seat (which we would move up a bit for his leg room). He was maybe 5' 2" at the time and fit within the roofline, so it all worked.
I tried to sit in the back once while parked and I just can't do it (6' 0") but most kids fit up until they are old enough/tall enough/heavy enough to ride in the front. Back seat is safer of course, but less cool when you're a kid and harder to get in and out of. Oddly the convertible with the top up has more headroom in the back than the coupe. And quite a bit more with the top down

I will check out the car next week. It sounds from Mark's reply to my post that my son should have enough legroom in the back seat with the passenger seat adjusted, and that the headroom with the top up is better that the hardtop.
Since there is nothing special about the NM M6 (2007) in today's market, this car should not have that much of a premium over the a regular M6. I will see what my friend has in mind as a trade difference between my car and his.
Mark, your ED should be a lot of fun. Please keep us posted and enjoy life.
