Maha M6 DYNO Results!... 430 Wheel HP!

Well I just got back from having my car Dynod. The machine is a Maha dyno .. There are only 2 in the country, its made in Germany and is the most expensive and accurate system out there. Has a dual fan that generates 80mph winds so my scoops were functional.. This is also the dyno machine used in wind tunnels for the Porsche factory motorsports divison.. People who know Maha dynos will atest their precision.

Im happy to report

532 Crank Hp.
430 Wheel Hp
392 Torque..

My Mods are:

RPi Pullies, RPi Intake Scoops and Block off plates, BMC Filters, Supersprint Resonator X-pipe, Supersprint Mufflers, RPI/PC Stg2 Software, water wetter (lol)

Very pleased with my numbers, they are what I expected for my modifications.. We did about 7 runs, each was very consistent and saw little to no HP drop (thanks to the RPi Software which worked that bug out) The run was done in 5th gear and inputed with the proper correction factors..

Next week im adding the RPi oil cooler to keep this car running hard..

Enjoy the graph!...

Cheers

Nice results!

So where did you get the drive train loss percentage to calculate crank hp? Also, is that wheel torque number or crank?

I don't understand, I thought our cars are stock with 507 crank hp. So with the list of your modifications are gained roughly 25 crank hp?

Depends what type of rating you're using. I think 507 is the European bhp number but it's 500hp in the US as an SAE metric. I might be using the wrong names for those standards but essentially 507 is European measure and 500 is in the US.

Using the 500hp number as the starting point, he's seeing a 32hp gain at the crank.

That is correct, the mods appear to yield about 32 hp at the crank which seems about right to me.. P Wheel is Wheel hp, M-Norm is torque, P Norm is corrected Hp. From what I understand, the Maha dyno is very sophisticated and is able to give actual crank hp thru certain data entry and the way it reads power.. The tech/owner of the shop was german trained and was refered to me by Rouge Engineering, place is KMD Tuning in New Jersey..

I spoke with Eloy from RPi briefly about the results and he stated for this type of dyno (eddy current ), my numbers are very good and show excellent gains..

Im going to send my sophisticated logs to Powerchip and see if they can clean up the AFRs on my RPi/PC Stg2 tune... then ill run this badboy again with the Oil cooler and see what we get..

But is that torque at the crank or wheels? Sorry if I'm missing it.

Logically the torque figure would have to be crank torque.

You're right. I had a brain fart. If that was at the wheels, the crank number would be about 490lb-ft.

NIce numbers rob. With the "amount" of mods you have, you should really have more power. Also, the .15% correction should be .00.
