Thanks,

although im a bit confused, are you saying that with the mods that I have the numbers seem low or that its showing a good increase..? As far as butt dyno, I know my car is a heck of a lot faster ever since the RPi stg2 tune, im very happy with it..

This usually helps.

VWvortex Forums: How to read a MAHA dyno sheet

I would say that that #'s are dead on. And the MaHa Torque is in crank. Many people have gotten used to the inflated arbitrary wheel #'s. don’t let that get you, the MaHa is the same dyno BMW uses, so you are defiantly comparing apples to apples. Nice gain BTW.fficeffice" />

Its hard to tell because I dont know how your exhaust is performing but you should have more crank hp than that with the "amount" of mods.

Hmm, well this was a 5th gear pull, and if I compare my Wheel HP to what your graphs have been with similar mods, I figured I was pretty close.. you also stated something about the correction factor(not sure if that makes a difference)... im itching to get someone else in NJ get a stock car on the dyno for comparision..

Simply because we have Different Dynos. For the Maha Dyno, my numbers are accurate for my mods. Crank is about 530 which is 29 over stock. I wish I had a Mustang Dyno so I could make a better comparison to what others see. Im considering taking her to the drag for its 1 time only visit just to get an idea of what kind of power it really puts to the ground..

Dynos vary so much, and even on the same dyno there are so darn many variables, it is not a good comparison.

this quote from this article Is Your Dyno Lying? spells it out:

"the "brag-ability" of dyno numbers will get even more dubious as dyno printouts become merely a reflection of what a particular car does on a particular dyno under a particular set of conditions. What happens on the street could be another matter altogether. As in Vegas, sure bets are in short supply when you measure horsepower. "

What we really need is before/after dyno on same dyno.. then we know what the gains are. Each stock engine can be quite different on these cars. Variences in engine tolerances and also those that baby the engine during breakin aren't making as much power

But even then mods like air intakes or RPI scoops don't show their real gains unless you have a dyno that is in a real variable by speed wind tunnel for testing. There are too many variables.

No question. Scoop benefits dont even really begin till you hit 100.. then the hamsters really go nuts.
