Calgary AB

Any M6 owners here from Calgary?
I am moving from Denver, CO to Calgary AB; after seeing the condition of the side streets, I wonder if it makes sense at all to ship my M6 convertible.
I'd appreciate your input.

Work offer I couldn't refuse. I'll for sure buy a SUV up there for winter. In Denver I use my truck only on really bad days.

Here's my opinion, it depends on a few things:
1) Whereabouts in the city you plan to live. Side streets and residential areas do not get plowed ever, but major roads and the downtown core is ok. However there is always significant snow buildup on the sides, so street parking could be difficult.
2) Storage - if you have garage space or an extra parking space to keep the car.
3) How long you're going to be here for/how often.

If you do bring the car and plan on driving it in the winter, winter tires are an absolute necessity. Also, keep in mind that Calgary road quality isn't good. A few of the main roads are ok, but for the most part the pavement quality is poor.I would suggest bringing the car over only if you are here for the summer, which starts in May after they clear the gravel off the streets. Also consider a clear bra if you don't have one.

Hopefully that helps, let me know if I can answer any more questions about the city.
