backup camera

Is there is any way to install back up camerA for 08 m6 conv?

Yes, you can choose either BMW ACM module or aftermarket solution such as TVandNav2Go. I've done both on my E60 545i and both works great.

I thought about doing one, but on a thread a few months back some people said it's pretty invasive on the I-Drive and could void warranty on that...

seriously just fold your top down and you should have PLENTY of view angle. =)

Not evasive at all and if installed correctly, the aftermarket one should not void any warranty at all. I had mine for a bit over 2 years and have taken my car in for services plenty of times. Also, the BMW ACM module is made by BMW and would not void any warranty.
