        Tires

I know this has been rehashed 50,000 times, but my Michelin man told me this morning that the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 don't come in run flats. Is this totally wrong?

If it is wrong, what do I need to do to make sure I get the correct tire from Michelin?

The michelin man is correct. You don't want runflats anyways. Not good for performance. Get the PS2's in factory sizing and....

DOH! I never knew that my car didn't have run flats on it. I sort of feel like an *** now. All this time I've bragged about my run flat tires and tire monitoring system never knowing that I could have been stuck somewhere with a flat. My wife's X5 has no spare and run flats. I thought mine was the same. Well, I guess ignorance is bliss.

I dont think they make any runflat tires in OEM sizes. BMW doesnt use runflats on any M cars because of the poorer ride quality and extra firm sidewalls. Your options are the BMW M mobility kit or putting on different size tires that are run flat or putting a full size wheel and tire in your trunk along with a jack since your car doesnt have that either.

I have run-flats on my Cooper S and they suck. Once they are dead i am getting some performance tires.

Run-flats ride so hard and are horrible for performance.
