Bastuck M6 exhaust system

The time has come for me to get into an M6 after two E60 M5's and an AMG Whenever I get into a new car my first mod is always an exhaust system. My neighbor has a 335i with a Bastuck exhaust, and was saying it was pretty popular among 335 owners. Anyway, I emailed Bastuck, and they sent me some pictures and an email. What does everyone think of this? I haven’t really heard much about Bastuck before, but it sounds pretty good.

"Dear Andrew,

Thank you very much for your inquiry! We also prefer M power over AMG, so I’m glad you’re back with BMW! Are you thinking of getting a coupe or a convertible M6? If you decide on the convertible, you’ll be pleased to know that our system is one of the only systems on the market that bolts directly to the M6 convertible, and is able to clear the convertible’s chassis brace.

The Bastuck M6 system offers three solutions: main cat-back, post cat-back, or rear muffler only. The system features a fantastic rear muffler with four 85mm tips, as well as a full x pipe and connecting pipe set. The Bastuck full system is a bolt-on solution!

Bastuck’s exhausts are hand made in Germany, and feature a 2 year warranty. The systems are 100% stainless steel, including the internals and hangers, and are built to last.

In any case, let me know what you’re going to do with your car, and which route you’d like to take as far as exhausts go.

Bastuck USA Team"

Looks really good! I like this and the Dinan the best so far in terms of looks. Did you happen to get a price on these systems by chance?

Bastuck exhaust is one of the sponsor for BMW touring cars in europe and asia. But not sure if they actually equipe the touring cars with their exhaust system.

Not sure if they make exhaust systems for the touring cars but are heavily involved in racing.

I did end up getting a graph from Bastuck Germany, but it's not super clear to me. The guys at BastuckUSA are working on getting me some numbers on the actual gains, but in this graph, they're not outlined explicitly. It's obvious there's some gain in mid range torque (3000-6000RPM) and top end power, but the graph doesn't show exactly how much.

Either way, I ended up placing my order, they said it should take about 5 weeks to get over to my place. I can't wait! The exhaust will be here before the car, though, so then I'll really be freaking out waiting for the M6 to get in.
