Anybody have ASR Cold Air Intake?

What are your guys opinions on ASR' CAI? I spoke with them today and it sounds great, just wondering if anybody on the board has it on their M6.

The completion date for the first production run will be in about two weeks. We have a local car with our prototype on it that has been running for a little over a month now. The vehicle still runs strong with no issues. We have tested the kit to fit both the M5 and the M6. We will post a group buy once we near completion of production.

Let me know when you're getting it installed. I'd like to come and check it out. Do you have anything else on your car?

I've been so busy, I haven't even taken the CF's out yet. I don't know if it is going to be possible, but I'd like to do a header, exhaust, intake, flash, pulley at the same time. That should hold me while I save for ASR's TT.

I need to talk to some more people before I decide about the 3.91 dif. I know on other cars it is recommended to stay with stock gearing when going FI.

The 3.91 diff is definitely not the way to go with nitrous or forced induction. Even with the testing we've done with NA cars has proven that the stock diff always walks away after around 100mph. This is something we've tested on more than 5 different ocassions with different vehicles, and the end result has been the same. This testing was all done on cars with the same mods and stock wheels and tires, but the only differences were the diffs. Although 0-100mph the 3.91 is usually quicker NA.

they completely replace the stock setup, those boxes would no longer be functional. the air intakes on this system are behind the kidney grille and that's the only way the air would be let into the engine as far as I understand...
