        M6 cabrio squeek

Anyone driving a M6 convertible experience a squeek coming from the drivers or passenger side rear windows while cornering? Whats more is that cracking sound when you turn into a driveway and the frame bends just a little?

I had that with my e46 M3 cab. The dealership can get rid of it by treating the window.

Nope, mine's solid as a rock - no squeeks or cracks.

PennsM5, did you get the noise fixed? What was it?

I've noticed a squeak coming from the driver's side rear window in my '07 M6 cabrio. Seems as though the front and rear windows don't seat tightly enough when closing the door. I don't hear the same "thud" as I do on the passenger side. Took it to the dealership and they simply adjusted the door clasp so it would close tighter. Didn't seem to make any difference. I'm a little hesitant to have them disassemble the door to correct the problem because I'm afraid I'll end up making it worse. I find that when I crack the rear window a bit the squeak goes away so I'm sure it is coming from the window. It's one of those minor annoyances that tend to be hard to diagnose and easy to make worse if they start screwing around with it. Oh well, nothing's perfect. Otherwise, the car is awesome.

        kslmd,
there is a window treatment to make that go away. I had it done to my e46 M3 about once or year or less and it worked well.

It may sound stupid but did you try opening all windows first and then closing the rear ones first and then the front ones? It is mentioned in the owner's manual (windows not closing properly if the front ones are closed first).
