        Runs Hot?

Noticing that the M6 runs a little hotter than the M5. Oil needle always a little to the right of 210 as opposed to a little to the left. Also fan engages more often and runs more often when parked. Wonder if it's packaging of the engine, or perhaps lack of the side gills? Or maybe just breaking in and the special break-in oil?

They do run a bit hotter, but within parameters.

I'm in the break in process and my oil gage is always a little on the left side. “Operating a M6 for an extended amount of time with oil gage exceeding 210 can cause severe and permanent damage to your vehicle in the break in process”... jk. The car does run a little hotter than most cars but than again, it is a V-10...
