Kind of what I was expecting. My old stock SL65 was already damn fast as it was, but it was boring as hell to drive. No driver involvement what so ever.

Thanks for that. That M6 got beaten, for sure.

IMO, the best thing about 65's is how easy they are to tune. The only thing you need to get 700hp and 900lb-ft torque is an ecu tune and you can run low 11's all day (or high 10's in SL65)

There are a couple of very nice upgrades coming for the 65's also.. VRP is working on a 1,000hp+ SL65 AMG right now:

What is VRP? I also know that the S65 AMG (old bodystyle) is a beast. The Porsche 911 Turbo Tiptronic had ig problems with that big and heavy car

That's true, in the first race the M6 pulled on CL65 at 120mph+. The CL65 owner was then advised to turn off his traction control, downshift (he was in D in 1st race), and put more gas in the tank (it was less than 1/4 tank in 1st race). Apparently, these changes made a huge difference in performance.

Its a new AMG tuner based in California. Here is a link to their 1,000hp SL65 project:
