Anyone Install a Laser Jammer?

Has anyone installed a laser jammer? Specifically the Laser Interceptor. Any place in the Long Island area recommended for a clean stealth install? I would like to hardwire my V1 and install a jammer.

Laser Jammers

You should check out lidarguys.com. They review laser jammers and from the latest results the Blinder and AL8 are the best. I have 7 jammers on the front (4 blinder, 3 AL8) and 3 jammers in the rear (2 blinder, 1 AL8). I've had them tested and I jammed to the gun on all runs front and rear.

Detailing Dynamics 516-747-4114, talk to Ed or Matt. They installed my jammer and hardwired my V1, they do great work. LI-M5 recommended them to me, a few other guys on the board use them as well.

Make sure you find one who will stay in business! I had a Blinder M40 and an STi Driver custom installed. They linked them together on the same toggle switch and one of the transponders of the Blinder is shot which is giving a constant "on"signal! I can't find the relay box and the installers went out of business!! Great, now I can't use $1400.00 worth of countermeasures purchased for a 210 mph car!! I'm really pissed off. I drove my car to a few places and people are afraid to even look at it! I don't know what the heck I am going to do! If anyone has a resource in the Chicago Metro Area, please let me know!

I had a Blinder M20 (2 transmitters) installed on my 645Ci back in 2005 and it continues to work in some cases and not in others. The reason seems to be the cops out here run their new lidar guns in stealth mode (which my older Blinder does not detect/alert) some of the time or else they are still using a mix of old and new guns. You definitely need a unit the jams the short pulse stealth lidar guns. If your Police Dept does have them yet, they probably will before you stop driving your car. Except for the lack of stealth mode on my older Blinder, it works great. I highly recommend you get a new Blinder (which is supposed to detect/jam stealth mode guns).

I checked on getting an update so I could jam stealth mode guns and the Blinder folks essentially said buy a new Blinder (there is no flash update sort of thing) and have it re-installed. Since my car comes off lease in a couple of month, I'll just tough it out.
