Distance to top end speed for M6?

I have a need to hit 200mph plus in my M6. Question is what distance is needed? I can get use an 8000ft run way but not sure if you can top out and stop in 1.6 miles. Russ can you chime in here please..... I realy dont feel like going 200mph on a public road so a nice long run way may be best 2nd choice.

Gustav, how long was the runway there in Sweden? I managed to hit about 185 mph indicated on the runway the afternoon of the event. I would estimate another 500 meters to get to 200 mph and then stop safely. The only other way I could measure it would to do it on the autobahn. I'm taking my car up to Kelleners-Sport next week for a service and a couple other things, so if I find a good spot on the A3, I'll measure the distance for you.

That would be great, maybe a distance measured run from a 30mph roll. I can come off one of the taxi way's and start my high speed run. I will only have maybe one or two runs on the runway. I know all the guys in the tower and they may be able to close the runway for 30 minutes or so. Also if you can time the run to top end that would be great also.
