        2007 C6 ZO6 STOCK vs. 2006 Modded BMW M6

No video yet. But my friend just picked up a new Black 2007 C6 ZO6. He is breaking it in now. He took it on the highway yesturday and with little effort he hit 160 in no time. He said its MAD fast!

He and I have been planning a video run from 2nd gear to 180 mph.

This is a done deal - it will happen.

I dont think there has been one clean video run with a BONE STOCK C6 ZO6 against a decently modded M6.

        My M6's Mods are:
        Carbon air filters removed
        K & N stock filter replacement
        Supersprint Headers
        Supersprint Cats
        Superprint X-Pipe w/ SS Resonator
        Supersprint Sport Mufflers
        AA Cam ECU Tune
        3.91 Dinan Differential
        Schrick Kelleners cams
        Evosport Pulley

This will be a complete side by side view of the entire run across ALL gears so we ALL can see where each car's strength and weaknesses lie.

        Video soon to come.......

        Keith

No chance the Z06 would win. I have a bone stock 07 M6 and I raced my friend with 07 Z06 and we were almost side to side until I hit the limiter.

I was under the impression that the Z06 is faster?

Yeah, I would have thought so, but that was the outcome.... Especially towards the higher speeds was the M6 good compared to Z06. But it could vary depending on the cars, too... Very subjective. ;-)

the z06 is a manual and therefor much more susceptible to driver discrepancies and you'll see many different conclusions to the match ups with them. this is evidenced at the drag strip where you can witness times anywhere from low 11's to low 12's.

IMO Z06 tranny is it's weak link. I wouldn't say it's bad, just doesn't perform as well as the rest of the car.
I have a vert and still beat my friend's Z06 on occasion because he sometimes misses 2-3 or 4-5 shifts. And he's had it almost a year.
