I agree, one awesome car, but...

I've been doing some research on smoothing out the ride of my 2006 M6 Coupe. I just found out that the convertible has a different part number for its shocks/dampners than a coupe. I suppose it's because they're ported stiffer for the extra weight. I wanted to let the coupe owner's know that possibility of a stiffer dampner is available.
I've looked into using the winter 18" wheels with M&S tires versus changing to KW 3's so that I can start with a little softer spring and adjust to the softer settings.
I also thought about drilling my wheels from the inside of where the tire is down into the spoke to allow more air. I heard Porche did this. But this sounds a little scarry. I don't think I'll go that route.
I'm looking for the ride of a 335i. Quiet, smooth over bumps, still great handling. And yes I've adjusted the tire pressure about 1000 different ways. Can anyone recommend my best action? Do you think I'll ever get close? Is the difference all about unsprung weight? I'd really like to talk to a BMW rep to suggest something "factory". Does anyone have any phone numbers of someone with BMW that can help? Thank you for helping in advance,
