Dinan Exhaust Question
So... for those of you that have installed the Dinan Exhaust, how would you compare the sound to stock? Did you leave the balance of the system stock, or remove and modify other pieces of the system?
I'd appreciate as much detail as possible.
Thanks guys

It's a bit louder and deeper than stock. I don't have decibel numbers for
you but it's definitely louder at idle and while cruising. I think it's better
than stock but you should try to find someone in your area who has it
installed for a demo. Sound clips won't do an exhaust setup justice.
It's loud enough to wake up the neighbors but not the entire block.

I'm in Manhattan Beach. Not too far from where you are. If you haven't
decided and aren't in a huge hurry to get the exhaust I could meet up
with you next Sunday. Let me know.

Thanks Marshall!
The next couple of weeks are a bit crazy, but I'd love to meet up with you when we both can clear up for day. As you know, the system isn't availble for the Vert yet. Probably another month or so.
Do you have any other mods?

I have the Evosport pulley, Dinan diff, Dinan exhaust, and the BMC filters.
PM me when you're freed up.

Granted im in an m5, but when the catback exhaust went on, it was a little deeper and a little louder, but not overwhelming. It adds a nice note to it. But what makes it sound like it belongs on the daytona 500 is the headers.

So you're running Dinan Exhaust and Headers? Who's headers? Did you notice a significant performace boost when the headers went on. The balance of your exhaust is stock, right?

It has the evosport headers installed on it. I had the evosport power pulley installed at the same time, so i dont know how much of it was headers, but there was a signigicant power increase with them, no dyno #'s to show exactly, but you can definitely feel a large difference. And it turns heads like no other with the sound. my family carpooled up from NM to UT at the beginning of this summer and my dad and i would take turns driving the m5 and a tacoma, and the sound of the m5 passing you at 7500rpm's is like no other.
