M6 with pulley eeks by M5

Thought ajcut would have posted by now, but since not, I'll start it off. We ran for an hour or so early this morning, couple from a dig, mostly from a 40mph roll. Also a C5 Vette with NOS and a slushbox. He was having problems with the juice. We spanked him (sorry, man)

        Run down of the cars:
M6 Vert: BMC filters (I think), Evo pulleys, CF removed
M5: BMC filters, E-race, RAC Monolites, CF removed

Almost 80 degrees with high humidity this AM.

Okay, just in my defense, I'm retarded and couldn't seem to shift before hitting the limiter on a number of occasions, didn't slam on the kickdown button each time, and was also in S5, MDM, p500S with the exception of the runs from a dig. Don't know how much, if any, of a factor the latter two were in the results.

AJ eeked by me by a 1/2-1 car length everytime except for one run when I managed to pull on him by a 1/2 or so.

Hit my limiter for the first time today (16.7mph). Also managed to slam in to a seagull at 150 during one run

Anthony had his new camera and mount set up.....but it didn't work, so no footage

Question for you physics geeks: any effect of acceleration with 20 wheels (mind you, these are LIGHTER than stock)? Probably been covered before, but I can't remember.

Great running with you, Anthony. Good times. We need a better showing next time around.

I found this on the web: The further a wheel and tire's mass is from the axle, the more torque will be required to accelerate it. If a car has 19" wheels and those wheels are replaced with 20" wheels of identical weight, the amount of inertia that wheel carries will probably have risen between 7 to 8 percent. Going up another inch would add another 7 to 8 percent, and so forth. It adds up quickly.
That's assuming the larger wheels weigh the same, which is often impossible. With a larger diameter wheel comes exponentially more surface area needed to create the outer edge of the rim, which is the worst possible place to add weight. Increasing wheel diameter AND increasing weight (even if only a modest amount) will produce rather noticable drawbacks- you can loose 1-2 car lengths (or more) in a 1/4 mile race. Going with wider wheels raises the amount of metal required too, although it does so only linearly.

If you went down in weight, it may have offset the drawbacks.
