creaking noises?
Hey guys was wondering if any of the 6rs here have had this problem as the M5s
Door Seals ...
I think it may be the same that I'm seeing... everytime I go over a bridge or hit some small bumps on the road I hear this annoying buzz coming from somewhere on the door... at first I though it was coming from the AC vents...
So annoying

I had those sqeaks too i thought. On the second try, they found the blinker stick to be the problem. I searched and pulled the A/C vent, A-pillar cover, tweeter, and light switch. It sounded like the tweeter was blown but with the radio off. I had my head stuck between the dashboard and windshield for many of miles looking for that rattle/sweak. Only over some bumps. Not the big ones though. When they told me the bliker, I though "not again". But for sure, it went away.

that sounds just like me... all over the dam place trying to isolate that noise! well I just replaced that chrome piece with a carbon fiber piece so hopefully the blinker is now jammed up better...

This is yet one more reason among the thousands not to date an older woman.
If she's in the passenger seat, creaking knees, ankles, backs, and who knows what else is going to be a distraction. Let that be a lesson to you all .

Check to see if the BC button on the turn stalk is rattling. Tough to localize the sound when that think buzzes.

What is the BC Button? I'll take a look at that one...
The rattling is still going on... I've tried to isolote it and I swear it's coming from the AC vent area... man this sucks

The little button which toggles on the dash between time, oil level, miles remaining, etc..., located at the end of the turn stalk. I thought my rattle was coming from the dash/vent/window until localizing to the BC button. Many here have had the stalk replaced, as have I.

Glad to help. Until I got my stalk replaced, I drove around with my little finger on that button to prevent its annoying vibration. Became a habit which took a while to break after the fix was made.

yea, That's what what they replaced on mine. Sound travel is what's amazing. I looked for that sound for a month. Boy how great this board is. I wondered how they found it so fast. It must be in a bullitin. Now I have one coming from on top of the Nav screen maybe inside the dash. I hate to bring it in for that because it only happens on bigger bumps. Anyone know of an owner fix? Man I just wish the softer setting would be a little more softer so these rattles wouldn't be there. You know one time I disconnected the wires for the dampners to see what would happen and it went to full sport. I suspect it sends voltage to stay in the comfort settings. Fail safe to sport setting. Anyone know of a dampner tech so that I can get him to open up the ports on the softer side?

See- this is why I love this site, the Return On Experience (my bosses favourite phrase) is great - my m6 went in many times for a creak like yours, dealer continued to blagg me, one day I was driving home on the freeway, car buzzing away, for what ever reason I put my finger on the check button on the leaver and hey presto discovered the source of the buzz !!!
