        What is your Tire Pressure?

I had low air in one of my tires yesterday and was curious what psi you guys keep your tires at? My rear tires were at 35psi as they were from the factory, this is for everyday driving, not for track use.

The only reliable way to determine tire pressures is to use a thermocouple thermometer to read tire temps and then adjust pressure. Using the manufacturer's recommendation is fine if you are not going to track your car.

I set all the tires at 30PSI, Low but the car rides comfortable than any higher
pressure. any down side to this other than gas mileage?

        Demon,

I won't recommend here (you should do whatever provides the most confidence), but I will say that I run my pressures a few PSI higher for the oem Contis. 33/36 is the full load max recomendation. Personally, for normal driving, I run at 2 under all around.

For my high speed runs, I ran the tire pressure at the maximum recommended pressure in the owner's manual. For the track, I run at 2 psi under. I don't have a thermocouple thermometer, but have seriously considered it.

It depends on your setup or what you want your set up to be. Since the car is already set up for understeer stock, I set mine at 37 in the rear and 34 in front to offset that and get a more neutral set up. If my car was neutral already I would set equal pressure all around.

Sorry I don't mean to hijack the thread

But I got H&R Springs so the car is even leveled front and rear

        33 or 35 all around?

One of the best things you can do would be to experiment with different setups, whether working to counter understeer as dek said, or simply to find your preferred balance between comfort and handling.

Among the best ways to do this on the road is to experiment with a stretch of road that you're familiar with. You could run one setup for a few days try another for a few days. As unscientific as this sounds, it should benefit. Be sure to keep as many variables (damper, dsc, shift settings, etc.) the same during your runs.

If the temperatures out there are really hot like high 90's to 100 F then go with 33. It is funny I set cold tire pressure at 34 in front 37 in the rear. When I got back from a weeks vacation and got back in the car my TPM told me I had low pressure in my tires. When I checked them every tire was exactly 3 psi lower. I was also alot cooler that day it got to 60 F in the morning when usually it has been around 77 F. No air leaked out it was just so much cooler that I lost 3 psi.
