Stock M6 vs. Modded CL600 VIDEO

Went on a exotic charity cruise yesterday and rode shotgun in my friends MODDED (AMG ECU/TCU tune, exhaust, green air filters, and Volk wheels) CL600. I was filming and got some good footage of a few fun runs. I have been constantly told and shown (Gustavs videos) of how the M cars simply demolish benzes from a roll and I knew for a fact that some of the vids couldn't possibly be real (namely the s/c viper, SL65 and Kleemann K4 E55 races posted by Gustav). I knew they couldnt be real because I have real world experience with those cars except the s/c viper. I was constantly told to prove it through video. Well here it is... Stock M6 vs. Modded CL600. The CL600 even let the M6 go first! If you think it was staged ask jidex (he is the M6 in the video and very nice guy)

I expected this outcome, just wanted to share the videos with you all since I needed "proof" to back up the claims I made in the past. Afterall it is a V12 biturbo vs. V10. Which is why I find it REDICULOUS for people to actually think a M5 will take a SL65 from a roll.

MODED V12 VS a STOCK M6. 140K+20K OVER STICKER+MODS=ABOUT 550HP.VS 110K+V10+500HP. which one too choose, i dont know, cant tell you the truth honestly.. how much will the CL600 Depreciate by next year? 40K? 50K?.cant really tell u which one i would choose there buddy.. Maybe it would be fair if the M6 Had mods...NICE try though..

The Cl600, CL65 are incredible cars... BUT a Cl600 is $35,000 more than a M6 and a Cl65 is $80,000 MORE!!!! Drop $35k on a M6 and THEN have a race..
MMMMM6 is right about how bad CL's depreciate. Go to the toilet and dump $30k in and then FLUSH.. thats what it cost for one year of ownership of a CL600.

the price is 135 W/ NO OPTIONS.now add all the options. u go up to 150.plus every dealership is over stickering these cars by atleast 20K because they dont make many of them , or dealerships are lucky to get them.. so you have a 170K car. Who can do 0-60 STOCK 4.6 seconds. Now add the mods, i'd rather get a bentley GT COUPE. But hey its your money not mine, all im saying is you are comparing oranges with apples.

i think the point behind this video/post is not about price or depreciation (there's a post of an m in the $50k range going on right now so you can't really point fingers anyways). it's about a cl600 making roughly the same hp as the kleemann e55 k4 and amg sl65 that were killed by m cars in sweden (btw, the cl is heavier than both the e and sl).

MANY of us pointed out the obvious...that those cars couldn't have been running properly because we've seen much different results with our own eyes, but everyone kept flaming and saying prove it with your own videos if you think you're right...well someone just did...again (since this isn't the first video to verify these results).

I don't care how much of a price disparity there is between both cars, but I don't consider the video to be a proper race or reflection of the performance of either of these cars. What speed was the "race" concluded? What was the start speed? Was there a shutdown speed predetermined? If you guys want to race your cars, I would suggest you take them to a drag strip, or find an old runway somewhere.

Actually I remember talking to the driver of the benz and he said the car had over 600 hp and about 550hp to the rear wheels, car really was amazingly fast.

blackbenz are you a troll or a member of this Board? I agree with Russ, this race was not at all methodical or revealing. You guys need to structure your races better and divulge what the parameters were. Until I hear from Jidex, I don't trust your presentation. Sorry. Why don't you race ttm6 or Russ' car if you want to bring a modded V12 to the party? God, do the Benz fans have to bring their biggest, tuned engine to compare to a "stock" M6 to demonstrate superiority? You're funny man. JIDEX's car is not stock either. It is unlimited. I still think it's funny how there continue to be MB fans that insist on blabbering about these boats on a site that is primarily for BMW enthusiasts. Considering your own members were there an claim of the speed they witnessed, and considering previous arranged meets of k4 e55 and sl65 getting beat by stock cars or so they claimed to be, led to this vid I believe.

In all honesty how can a 500hp car massacre a 600hp + car, if their weight is not to far apart?

Ofc you would side with the more powerful car, yet there was allot of people that sided with the 500hp car and told jokes and made fun. The reverse happened when the expected outcome took place and now its sore loser talk?

I believe these were fun runs and the people in them had fun , cl600 specs were made public...

I actually thought the same till I saw this, and after seeing it mad me realise what world we live in today and to think twice before i saw something on tv and belived it.
