I have plans with the wife and her friends. I will try and see if I can get out of it, but it seems very unlikely.

        Update:

The dinner would be at Katana in West L.A and it is a pre set course $ 70 + drinks + gratuity ...we will have to be there at the restaurant at 6:45 pm...Guys we are in a tight schedule and hoping you are all in agreement...dinner will end around 9:45 pm...Thanks

        Details:

        Wed, 8/15/07, time 6:45 PM.

        Katana
        8439 West Sunset Boulevard
        West Hollywood, CA 90069
        323-650-8585

Reservations were made and guaranteed for a party of 14. I'm not sure about the feasability of adding extras but PM me and we'll see.

The food will be Japanese tapas-style, a mix of appys, sashimi, sushi and robata, served family style but portioned one per person. So, we'll have about twenty items in total. If you have special dietary considerations please let me know.

Gustav (and I) will be staying at the Hyatt in West Hollywood:

        Hyatt West Hollywood
        8401 Sunset Boulevard
        West Hollywood, California, USA 90069
        Tel: 323-656-1234 Fax: 323-650-7024

He may get there sometime around 6:00...feel free to call his room and drag him out to the bar...or to Starbucks, depending upon what he needs.

On Thurs I will give Gustav a 4-5 hour tour of L.A. and the immediate coastal environs, dropping him off at Union Station for an afternoon run to Santa Barbara on the the Pacific Surfliner (rail) where he will be picked up by way2fast.

See you all at Katana - TIA for helping to welcome the G-man!
