        Umnitza Product Died Out...

Date Ordered: Thursday 04 January, 2007
        Order Number: 6108
        1 x Predator ICE™ - OE Upgrade Angel Eyes (Choose Model) (PICE) = $199.99

        Well I bought the angeleyes as you see less than 7 months;
had no problem with them at the start works good, although the flickering
when you first start up the car I didn't complain about, I know that’s
the car checking the lights when it flickers.

A week ago got a message on the Head up display telling me to check
the "Front Left Parking Light" so I did, they were off and the right side were fine. took it to the dealer we ran a check on the car and an inspection, wires
are fine its the Umnitza product that went bad.

        The model I got is
        1 x Predator ICE™ - OE Upgrade Angel Eyes (Choose Model) (PICE) = $199.99

I have no problem paying that much or even more for a product that at least
would last a year but less than that? that’s an issue. not to mention it is $200 to install, to take out the defected once another $100.

Also known to you Umnitza is the heat issue was anything done
on this product before releasing it for our high end cars?

        Any Comment on that Umnitza?

7 months -- That has to be covered by some sort of warranty, right? Perhaps it's just a bad light.

I sure hope it does Dukecat, I got the record in my email account,
but my guess is that he will request I remove it and send it to them,
well thats a 100$ of removal and when I get the new once another
$200 to install either by BMW dealer or the certifed Umnitza
installer in Northren Virginia, at least that what he told me he is.

300$ for a product that is worth 200.
Not to mention the one eyed angleeye M6 for a week or 2.

        let's take it in stages:

Whomever did the install needs to check the power and ground first, chances are, his crimp or connection has loosened.

Our angel eyes are rated for 100K hours of usage so it's unlikely that anything inside of them failed, however, if you have any issues feel free to send it back for testing if your installer suspects a product fault.

Thank you for the quick reply, that only matters.

second, Just spoke with the M Tech who installed it, he is in Boston
ATM for training, gets back here Monday, Tuesday we will recheck everything
and this thread will be updated.

Should I mention this to you, the fault comes on and off. Sometimes
it is off and everything is fine sometime it is not. Might be connection?
I know one thing for sure we did NOT use the plastic clippers that were
Provided in the package of the lights, he used BMW connectors.

I went with AngeliBright because I did not want "crimp" connections. Theirs are a direct plug in connectors, no wires at all and proven to be brighter in an independent test.

No slam on Umnitza, but facts are facts and with a $120K car, the last thing I wanted was loose wires and crimped wires under the hood.

        The importance of flashlights...

I wanted to post here that "I've seen the light"! Thank you lord!!

But of course, darkness seemingly prevails at this point.

Let me just say that in these cases, history provides truly pertinent advice..
Curly: Moe, Larry, help -- I can't see!
Moe: Take it easy kid, what's the problem?
Curly: I've got my eyes closed!
        SLAP!!!!

I sure agree with you, although I was aware from the start that
umnitza uses plastic clippers thanks to message boards, but this should be
no issue and there should be a better package for M5's M6's,
call it special or whatever and mark it up like you want but this doesn’t
        happen.
