M6 vs SL55 AMG on race track

I was again this Monday at the track of SPA FRANCORCHAMPS, this time the weather was better than the last time, I was Follow-up by a MB SL 55 AMG with a “professional racing driver ” about 2 laps and he can not arrive to me, allows about 5 or 6 car longer behind me!! After we stop and he said to me that now I know how the M6 is faster.

And after I was Follow-up by a 997 GT3, this was an others story, we was fighting about 2 laps and after he passé me,……. With 300kgs less, and CUP tires and a PORSCHE… this was difficult for the M6

photos will follow
Michael

What kind of event was going on at the track? I'd like to take my Ringtoy to Spa too in a few weeks when it's ready...

Hi Michael,

Was this without your 4th gear or was your gearbox fixed already?

PS: I'm set up for a day of fun with Danny from BMW Belgium at the airfield on Sunday August 19th 2007. Should be fun.

Man I cannot believe what tanks the Mercs are. The SL 55 AMG weighs in at a whopping 1960 kg or 4312 lbs. No wonder they try to throw down so much torque.

Man, that is impressive. You killed an SL 55 without even having 4th gear simply great

I'll give Danny your regards and I've already asked Rony to prep my 19" wheels for the day at the airfield as I don't feel like abusing the 20" Schnitzers.

Nice picture and I notice that they tape up the cars. Not a bad idea. Man that stretch of runway looks so inviting. I can't wait to use all 507 horses and let the beast go to her full potential

deknight you are so right. They are very, very heavy. Ironic that "SL" is a german abbreviation for "Super Light".
