What to do with stock Contis?

Finish 'em off, of course!

By the end of the day the outside of my left front tire was missing chunks of thread... Mission accomplished

when I read the thread title, my answer was "go to the track and destroy them". Great minds think alike

Great shot and great advice!

What track is that? Did you destroy them in one event?

I did a rain day at Mosport a couple weeks ago and had a blast. Actually , I was quite amazed at how the Conti's worked in the wet.

So what's on the plate for your next track tire? I'm looking at the PZero Corsa's or Pilot Sport Cups on a second set of wheels. Can't stand the sound of squealing street tires any more on the track (nor the limitations they bring).

It took 2 days at Shannoville and about 12,000 kms to destroy that left tire

Next on the plate are Michelin PS2s for the M6 and PS Cups for my 911. The only reason I took the M6 out on track was to see how it did, and it did more than well enough

Agree PS2 are worth a try, has anyone here made the switch and care to share "feelings"? Peter

Very nice grip, even on high speed 90 degree turns - don't do it though, it can be scary.
