Feedback on Borla exhaust for E60 M5?

i was just on borla's webpage and i just saw they put up their muffler system for the e60 m5...i was thinking about purchasing them. Has anyone heard or seen the borla exhaust yet?

Wow, nice pricing. Eventhough it's so new, it can already be had for under $1800, so it's sure to drop. That's not bad at all for an exhaust + X pipe section. It seems to include a pair of Y resonators right after the X pipe.

Maybe it's just me, but Pep Boys and Mulletts come to mind when I hear Borla.

They usually make their exhausts so the tips can be replaces with any of their 12 or so various tip designs (which does include oval and many other types).

I sent an email about two weeks ago to my local Borla dealer and I finally got a response....here it is....

"it is not not available yet
3 weeks from now
thank you george"

so have to wait a bit longer, but I am thinking of trying it.....

I didn't want to say it, but you got it right. I don't think a Borla belongs on an M5. Just my opinion of course.

I don't care about the name or what it costs. I care about the quality of the product, the look and the sound. So... I'm waiting for you to put it on and give us a report.
