3rd dinan 3.91 installed and whine free (for now)

so as some\most of you know i was one of the 1st guys to get this mod and its a great one, but i had whinning issues , so while i waited for a new one , i got the pulley and had it installed on my beast and the shifts got juicy real juicy ..

the 1st nite it was installed i was doin some hard driving with a buddy with an audi rs6 and while we were running for the 30th time i was hearing the whinnning turning in to a growl, that same nite the last straw was a 3g rpm clutch dropp where i blew the rear end !! so they replaced it with what was supposed to be a whine free diff but as soon as i picked it up it was worse than the first

this one made my beast sound like a remote control car , i let them know and they said use it till we figure it out

...so finally tuesday they put a diff in that was put in steve dinan's car for 300 miles to confirm that this one was ok and it is

so now 6 mo's later its fixed no more whinning and the diff feels great !!

as per warr' issues and help from my dealer and dinan kudos to them both !!

never paid another $$ and everything was taken care of !!

so it seems the problem is fixed and im glad..

Good to here. Steve Dinan has my diff. in his car right now (so they say).

I was told (by Dinan) that if you have had 2 or more bad diff's, this will be standard procedure.

He is going to be doing a lot of driving.....

Lets talk diff + pulleys. I'm thinking about the pulley's. Give me your comparison. Remember how it felt when you first put in the diff in before you had pulley's? Was it a similiar impression adding the pulley's on top of the diff?

No. not even close for me. I would do the pulleys but they in no way compare to the performance of the differential.

+1 defenetly can't compare the two !! yes the pulleys did make a difference but nothing compared to the diff !!

if you have the diff i'd sy do the pulley its def worth the $600.00 and you'll notice it right away !!

My pullies are being installed today. We could do a run this weekend and see if there's any difference between your car with the 3.91 diff and mine with the pulley upgrade.

Ive got the beast at the dealer getting its 3rd diff put in right now. I dont know if Steve dinan actually had this one in or not, but I know that they have pinpointed the causes of the whine, so im hopeful. And as far as money and the warranty goes, I havent put another dollar in it, so kudos for them for backing up there product.

And also... The throttle bodies that have been pre ordered since march are getting installed, so im excited... should theoretically make the beast push 615hp
