Next step up in exhaust sound levels?

I've had my M5 for over a yr now with just a SS X-pipe, and am thinking of going to the next level of sound. What set of mufflers would do this, and which are the best bang for the buck?

Edit: I see there are only 3 brands that I could find, the Hartge Sport, the Supersprint Sport, and the Eisenmann Sport/Perf. Does anyone here have any experience with any of these mufflers, esp when used with an X-pipe?

fwiw, the Hartge seems to have the best price vs the others @$1,749 (through Turner Motorsports).

I got my SS race for aprox. USD 1,200.....sounds good but doesnt look as good as OEM/Eisenman

i've got ss race aswell and its a little bit louder than the stock setup perfect for the next level !!

wife did'nt even notice , windows up no difference windows down it just purrs !!

try jon at the m shop (board sponser) he gave me the best price !!

Just switched to Tubi Style Regular with the SS-x-pipe. Love it!

There is only one muffler to buy and that is the Kreissig, to bad it is $7k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But holy cow what a sound!!

Do a search there are plenty of videos with this set up!

I have a loud fun car (LPE 427 C6). What I'm looking for with my DD is the next step up from an SS x-pipe and stock cans. The guy @Turner MS said the SS Sport cans are hardly any louder than stock, and recommended the Hartges over them. But what I must consider is the SS x-pipe is almost perfect as it is, and I don't want to get too crazy loud when adding a set of aftermarket mufflers. fwiw, I tried the SS Race cans+their x-pipe on my MZ4 Coupe, and absolutely hated it. Took them off immediately.

Any thoughts on this now, that I've further expounded on the subject?

Then definitely ignore any suggestions of Eisenmann anything. Sounds like even the Sport version would be too loud. From what I've heard, Tubi and RD Sport are out as well. The SS Race + x-pipe sounds good and I think may be what you're looking for. Don't know what the Z4 setup sounds like, but sounds good on the E60...just not loud enough for me

from what i've heard the ss sport is the same as stock, i was told its not worth the $$$

I've never heard the Sport version, but judging by the Sound of the Race, I can only imagine the increase in sound of the former is barely/not audible. I would only suggest trying to get the Race first, and if you don't like it, then sell it which you shouldn't have too much problem doing. However, I don't think there's much of a market for the Sport version (at least not here) if you try to unload it later.
