like i've been saying...there's information about this airstrip race that isn't being shared. it would be important to know if a car is handicapped or should be running in the special olympics isntead of one of gustav's events. ironically information like the following is just now showing up on mbworld but not here??? PATHETIC!!!

Gustav didn't know because I didn't tell him. The guy was making an excuse why he lost the race. What you say if one of us make an excuse for losing a race? You would call us a bunch of whiners. It seems to me that the excuse was valid from your point of view because it came from someone racing a BMW. Not very equitable, do you think???

I never accused you (or anyone) of hiding anything and never accused gustav of rigging races for those that might be implying otherwise. I was just saying there was missing information that was preventing proper analysis of the race which woule make me a true gearhead per kees' definition. if anyone has a problem with that, that is of their own "pathetic" concern.

It seems like most of the Non M cars had "issues"

Edit: Chiromikey beat me to it
So what the Viper was having transmission problems, the supra was having its share of problems and the Rt12 had a repaired tire but the bottom line hear was who crossed the finish line first!!

So why come on here and make excuses for someone elses race???

I have yet to see anybody else step up from any other forum and put together an event with as many cars as Gustav did. So maybe you and the guys at Mbworld could put something similar together here in the states. (when I say similar that does not mean a 1/4 mile drag). Maybe by the time you can get that organized M5/M6's will be running around with Dinan and RDSport stoker motors

edit: Stroker

per your quote on mbworld you said he told you all this BEFORE the race, not as an excuse for losing the race. you even said you never got to talk with him afterward. either way at least we now have information that explains the outcome a lot better. congrats on your win...i guess.

WHAT F'ing difference does it make when he told me what. We still raced and he lost. Never mind what I told him--I was sure he was going to win, and maybe to satisfy my fears he fed me his line about gear changing problems to give me a sense of security. I don't know. He was polite and I was polite. We admired each others cars, shook hands, introduced each other's wives to the other, and raced our cars. He was a class act that didn't whine and snivel when he lost a race. I'm sure he was just happy to be there with a lot of nice cars, NICE PEOPLE, and the comraderie that comes along with it.

Don't tell me 'congrats on your win...i guess.' if you don't mean it. The people at the airfield in Sweden meant it when they said it as I did to those who beat me.

I am willing to bet Gustav is recovering from his hangover after Midsummer... Give him a few days.

I see. You want me to make an excuse for winning. OK, my car was faster. You seem to have no problem making excuses for those that lose to a BMW. Well... there is more to come so save your energy

Insulting people without becoming crude takes wit, charm and intelligence. Apparently a brief holiday away from the messageboard in search of these merits proved unfruitful for Allanlambo. A longer holiday may help his quest.

It's heart-wrenching to see him trying so hard to become a keyboard warrior... and despite all his best efforts still not being very good at it.
