I would like to see the specs on the viper and I'm sure others would as well
Mr.Vroom- If stock for stock they are about even, the supercharged viper would have crushed the cammed M6. s/c vs. cams, which do you think makes a bigger difference?

The viper shut down way before the finnish line, something looked amiss.
Here is my stock M5 vs a stock Viper. The race was very close. A modded M6 vs a modded Viper should of been a close race.
The M5 beats the Viper in this race and it's only to a little over 110 mph. We were racing up to nearly 180 mph. Given more distance on the above race, the gap the M5 made on the Viper would be much larger--at least it seems like it to me. This video is more ammunition that the Viper is OK down at low speeds, but quickly has problems as drag becomes a factor.

Benz....what part of beyond the quartermile don't you get? There is life from the dig to the 1/4 mile....in this world, we concede victory to the viper....from 1/4 mile, enjoy the Bangle Butt.....
Just in case, you didn't get the reasons for the M6 victory, here they are again: Less Drag, Better Gearing, Less drivetrain loss.

We trapped at 116 mph. The Viper owner is a friend of mine; during this race we kept it going for a little after the quarter mark, to around 140 mph. It was close all the way. A blown Viper should have at least 600hp, so regardless of drag/gearing advantages it should of been close.
yes I saw that post but the data is limited to a few cars and I am not able to get a 100-200km/hr time for example or probably I don't know how to read the data posted in the table format .
There was another line graph posted with two runs that showed all the intermediary speeds and timings, something like that would be excellent for the top ones if available/possible...

T-Bone - Curiously, why are you assuming less drivetrain loss? Do you mean quicker shifts?

Hello, new here, congratulations on a wonderful event.
I would like to ask RUF ROCK and KEES if possible to post datalogger data (seconds) from:
- The R Turbo: 100-200-300km/h
- All the cars 100-200km/hr and 200-300km/hr when available.
A line graph like the one posted earlier with all the top cars from standstill or 100km/hr onwards would be excellent.
I guess this the only way for us to understand how fast, or not, these cars really were.
Thank you for such great pictures and coverage.
I've had nothing to do with these race videos - I only attended the day as an independent observer. I agree for next time it would be very interesting to see if it's possible to gather acceleration data at the same time as the videos.
What is very tiring is the people who are insecure enough to post here and intimate that the videos are supposedly rigged. That's sad considering that they weren't at the event and don't take the effort to actually organise something similar themselves. It's so incredibly cheap to make comments about an event where all the drivers got along really well and where everyone was just interested in having fun with some very cool cars.
