So, the R Turbo was faster than the RT12, how come really?! Has always thought that the RT12 was unbeatable...
The Rt12 comprises the 996TT AWD system and a (modified) 996TT gear-box, a havily modded engine and many body elements of the 997 (including interior).
If you put the Rt12 engine into a 996TT the car does look different than the Rt12. However, technically speaking it is more or less a Rt12. No significant technical differences. Ergo: same performance as the Rt12

Thanks! Very nice car choise. You are welcome on the next event, pleease email me oif you want to see what your RT12 can do. We had visitors from Germany this time as well.
Actually, I am very glad to read about the strong performance of Ruf customer cars at your event. That only confirms my excellent impressions of Ruf to date
BTW: How far is it from Frankfurt/Germany to the Airstrip you use for your event
This dark silver 996 RUF is the ultimate understatement car I can only imagine how shocked other sports car drivers must be after meeting that car on the Autobahn
Member RussRamz went from Stuttgart if I am not mistaken in his BMW M6.
You can drive on a Friday morning and be in time to sleep at the estate by the evening, and then attend on the Saturday. It is exactly 450 km from Copenhagen, Denmark up north. Dinner and breakfast is also arranged at the estate.
PS. The RT12 996 reached over 310 km/h on the tachometer at the races.

Sounds reasonable.
BTW: the guest house does look very nice (including the car parked in front of the building )
Unfortunately he had a puncture at 310 km/h on the Autobahn but fortunately he managed to save not only himself but the car.
I know the question will be raised. No it wasn't a Pirelli tire that blew up, but a Michelin. We've been told we should send it to the German TÜV, any comments?
My question is which Michelin tires were you using and what were your inflation pressures. PS1s and PS2s are only rated to 186mph. 310kph is ~192mph. If you were cruising at that speed for any length of time it is no wonder it failed.
I am very glad no one was hurt and the car was saved, I'm sure it was a handful , good job.

Michelin PS2 are the standard tires for the 997TT. As the 997TT has a top-speed of 310kph the Michelin should be able to handle such speed
