Alright, so I'm headed out to the track tomorrow and can't decide which car to take: I can take my M5, or my fully built race E36 M3. I haven't driven the race car in almost a year, so there might be some theething issues, and I haven't driven MMP before, so the M5 might be a little more user-friendly; on the other hand, I didn't really buy the M5 for track duty, I did buy the race car for track duty, theething issues are fixable, and there is something to be said for learning the track in the car you're going to be driving it (shift points, gear selection, etc)...
Take the M3, i had problems with tranny overheating 2 weeks ago at the track, I am waiting till I can turn dsc off my 6spd m5 before I return, for now I will take my c6 Z06 for hot laps

I am a big fan of tracking the M5, but if you already have a race car, that seems like the logical choice.

the m5 should be fun at mmp, you won't ever go below 2nd gear, and the long turns should suit the m5 well. a race-prepped m3 would also be great.. if the gearing is very short on the car you might max out on the straight (as lots of people do).
-shouldn't be that big of a deal which one you bring, you'll def. go again in the future, esp. since you are in utah! lucky!
