Anybody with aftermarket wheels on an 07? Tire pressure sensors?

Alright, so apparently the 07s and up have a different tire pressure sensor than previous generations. Assumimg I'm understanding correctly, this new sensor actually requires an additional hole in the wheel to anchor it - and care must be taken for this anchor not to protrude too far into the inside of the wheel because of the brake caliper.

Is this an accurate appraisal of the situation? Have any of you dealt with it successfully - especially on a RAC?

Experiences, thoughts, ideas, etc are encouraged!

TIA - again!

I have Rac's on my 07 M5. The wheel is made to so that the TPM fit without any extra holes.

Sounds like the 07 TMP is a different sensor mounted inside each wheel, like I thought.

So, do they come with a hole for the sensor, or is it affixed some other way?

It attaches to the valve stem. No need for extra holes.
