Concerned... [1st service past 2000km]

My new Beast just rolled over 1,750 km (approx 1,100 miles) and the computer is telling me to take it in for the 2,000 km service. I called the dealership and was told that they are busy installing summer tires and won't be able to give me an appointment until the end of next week. I suggested to the booking co-ordinator that I needed to be able to drive the car so waiting for 12 days wouldn't work. She checked with a service consultant and he told her I could drive it up to 3,000 km (approx 1,750 miles) before getting the service done and it wouldn't hurt the car.

Is this right?! When I picked the car up they stressed to me the importance of bringing it in before it hit 2,000 km. Now they don't seem to care. I have lobbed a call into my sales rep, but thought I would look for everyone's unbiased input. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

and the computer is telling me to take it in for the 2,000 km service.

My car told me from the delivery onwards that it needed to be serviced. But that was something they already told me at the delivery.

At the first service they change the oils. Did you drive it normally? If so then, IMO, waiting longer is no problem. However, if you want to hit it badly then have it serviced before that.

Unless you will not forget it until the 3000km mark there will be no Problem at all. Mine was made at 2600km and everything runs fine (46.000km).

Cheers,
Christopher

Unacceptable.....which dealer is this?

PM me if you can drive out to Oakville, I will speak to my SA and see if you can come in sooner.

Should be ok don't stress about it. They build in thresholds to compentsate for human error and forgetfullness. up to 3000 should be fine.

My M6 was in the shop for fixing the rear view camera when I had only 1400 km on the clock. They did not want to replace the fluids. The service center manager told me the mineral oil they put in the engine in the factory has a special purpose. It should be in the engine at least 2000 km. No problem if you go to 2500 or 3000 max km.
