Euro Launch Control - no limitiations on times used?

I have seen often posts that there is a limitation to the times the launch control (European version) is used.

Warranty issues.

I was reading the manual and I could not find such a limitation. Only that it can be repeated after a certain distance (undefined).

My car was built in October/November 2006.

Do other M5/M6 owners have a manual in which such a limitation (warranty) is mentioned?

I asked this before picking mine up and the dealer raised the question with BMG GB for me. As usual there was no direct response other than for warranty claims moderate use was acceptable. As far as I know there has not been an issue where a failure was refused under warranty due to LC usage so far. Also with all the RCoD failures LC wont be at the top of there list of concerns.

Sacha…

I used the launch control feature 179 times! Its not related to warranty issues, but i did pay for the second clutch, the first one was replaced for free.I'm on the third clutch, waiting for the forth.

As long as moderate is not defined and is not in writing it should not be a big problem.

Emirates post mentiones the clutch (but after almost 200 times usage).

Incredible.

Pretty much shows that the older threads mentioning max allowable usage of 10 times or so was probably just a myth?

OK, being an engineer, I compute 179 launches / 3 clutches = about 60 launches per clutch. Sounds pretty good to me - I would probably go for an LC software chip if it was available. I'd love to see some people running quarter miles here in the US with European LC.

179 launches before having the third clutch... 179/2=90 launches per clutch,i reckon every clutch is capable of 100+ launches,in my case i did wonders with my M5
