Just picked up my "new" 2006 M5

First I want to say how great this board is. After looking for a couple of months, my son just picked my 2006 M5. I found the car and owner on this board. The seller is "Redstadic" (Mark DeOrio). Mark and I have never met, but I know he is a great guy. My son flew to Louisville yesterday, looked at the car and is driving it back to Idaho. My son tells me that the car is perfect and as Mark stated. Thank you Mark for making it possible for me to buy your car from 6000 miles away (Maui) and sight unseen. I will not see the car until May 2 and I am excited to drive it. I have never driven the E60 M5. My son, who just sold his 2001 M5 is quite impressed with the car. Also when I return to Idaho, I get to pick up my new Ferrari 430 spider. Wow- 1000 HP addition to the stables in the same week. Life has not always been this good. Thanks for all the input and information that I received from every body out there. I will post a couple of Mark's pictures that some of you have already seen.
Aloha,
Al LaPeter

Mark bought the mesh. I think I like it, but if not I still have the original grill.

Congrats on picking up two excellent vehicles! Curious though, will your 430 have the F1 gearbox or the H-gate?

I like three pedal cars and that is how the new one is. My dealer tells me that the next replacement Ferrari for the 430 may not even offer three pedals.

Congrats on the acquisition. The beast looks sweet. Love the grills too.

Congrats on the new purchases. Just my opinion, I would take off the grills and return to stock. Better yet I would get the CF kidneys....
