Dinan software

I talked to a Dinan sales rep last week about their software. He told me it would be available this April (07) and will remove the top speed limiter and alter the shift patterns. He said they may not restore the European launch control as it might void the BMW warranty and I got the impression they did not want to assume liability. (Is the M5's rear end so fragile that it has to be protected?) He also told me they are having to reverse engineer the software code as BMW does not provide source code to them.

It seems that their M5 focus is the new throttle bodies, exhaust system (including headers down the road), wheels and their 600+ H.P. crate motor.
