The car looks great but I'm concerned that the current M5 engine & transmission are unsuited for load-lugging & towing due to the lack of torque.
Surely a 535d (especially DMS tuned) or an Alpina B5 touring are better options in this market.
It'd be interesting to see how the M5 touring does against the forthcoming RS6 avant in terms of both performance and sales

seems like most of the changes are in the interior:
very different rear door panels
different front door panels
power window swithes now level with arm rest
no vertical door pull handle for driver's side
different front center layout (much cleaner) and buttons are better laid out
trim now extends from dash to top of all four doors
no trim pieces on FR, LR, RR vertical door pulls
different door pockets
outside, i only see:
different internals for the headlight (reshaped as well?)
LED blinkers for the rear
If anything, glad the updates are mostly on the inside.
This interior of the the updated normal 5 series looks a lot like the new 3series coupe interior. Here is a pic of the new 5 series:

Seems there is only room for 6 buttons and not 8 concerning the seat heating etc. I wonder where the ventilated seat buttons would go.
Indeed very similar to the new 3-series coupe. Especially the doors except the 3 coupe has a box in the drivers door that can be pulled toward you to make it more accessable.
