will the US version get orange corners in the headlights like the current E60s..or will we finally get clear like Europe.

I like what I see. Only very subtle changes but they sure enhance the overall appearance of the car.

Now this is more like it...and are those buttons for the CD/AM/FM etc...too??? I can't believe these were not originally deemed necessary by BMW, and are one of my major nits with the I Drive .

Certainly evolutionary changes, and slight ones at that. The preset stereo buttons are a good addition. So is the additional storage compartment on the lowest part of the vertical center console. The auto shift lever -- irrelevant to all of us here -- is a cool, modern design.

I can see why someone would wait an extra month or two to get the '08 model, assuming that the changes also will apply to the M5, but I don't see anything that will materially alter tha '06s' and '07s' resale values.

I know what you mean: Mercedes has this function in combination with the fog-lights. When you turn on the left/right indicator, an additional bulb (left/right) turns on so you can already see what's next to you BEFORE turning...

I just wanted to mention that this feature is not "Adaptives Kurvenlicht". "Adaptives Kurvenlicht" is what we already have right now: The headlights follow the angle of the steering-wheel...(adaptive headlights).

i am speechless.

just had a very long day, and the pics just put a big smile on my face.

now all i need is for a kind soul to lease it for 2 yrs, then i go and buy it! that'll give me about 3 more years to drive the heck out of my e39 touring.

thanks for posting this.

I Can't Tell the Difference

Can someone highlight the differences between the old and new regular 5 series and the M?

I can't tell the difference at all........

Does the existing M5 have LED brake lights like the M6 already?
